These are the terms of playing Asteroid Wars, a free game run by Sublime Bytes LLC ("we"). By making an account or playing, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't play. Questions: play@asteroidwars.com.
Early access
Asteroid Wars is in early access: unfinished, and changing. Servers will go down, matches will be cut short, features will come and go, and stats, leaderboards, syndicates and scrip may be reset. Play it as it is.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to make an account.
- One account each. Keep your email address to yourself: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- Your username, avatar and syndicate's name and icon are seen by everyone. Don't choose anything offensive, anything that pretends to be someone else, or anything you don't have the right to use. We may change or hide them if you do.
Playing fair
Don't:
- cheat: aimbots, wallhacks, modified clients, or anything that gives you what the game doesn't;
- exploit bugs on purpose (tell us about them instead);
- harass, threaten or abuse other players in chat, voice or names;
- attack, overload or try to get into our servers, or anyone's account but yours;
- sell, trade or share accounts.
We may warn you, hide what you've put up, or suspend or ban your account if you do, and we decide that ourselves. A ban can cover new accounts made to get around it.
What's ours, what's yours
The game, its code, art and sound are ours. You may play it, share screenshots and videos of it, and stream it. What you put up (names, avatars, chat) stays yours, but you let us show it in the game and on the site as long as it's there.
Scrip and stats
Scrip, trophies, stats and leaderboard places are part of the game. They have no money value, can't be bought or sold, and may change or be reset.
No guarantees
The game is free and provided as it is, without any warranty. We don't promise it'll always be up, free of bugs, or keep any feature. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss from playing it or not being able to.
Ending
You can stop playing whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy page). We may close the game, or your account under the rules above.
Changes
We may change these terms. We'll update the date at the top, and tell you on the site or by email if a change is a big one. Playing after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
